Creating a contact us form in WordPress or any other kind of form is an easy task that you can get done in a few minutes.
In this report, I will show you how to create a contact us form in WordPress using the best and easy-to-use WordPress best form plugin called Forminator.

Steps to create a Contact us form in WordPress using WordPress best form Plugin; Forminator
We will be going through 4 simple activities to get our contact form in WordPress ready;
- Install and activate the Forminator plugin
- Create our contact form in WordPress
- Embed the contact form to the desired page of our WordPress website
- Test our page to be sure that the contact form in WordPress we just created is working perfectly

Install and activate the Forminator plugin
- Find your way to your WordPress dashboard
- Click Plugin>>Add new.
- On the plugin search bar, type Forminator and pick out Forminator plugin from the WordPress suggestions
- Click the install now. Wait for the installation to be complete.
- Click activate.
Congratulations, now the Forminator plugin has been activated on your WordPress website.
Create our contact form in WordPress
Go through the WordPress menu and you will see Forminator being added as a new link at the bottom.
Hover over the Forminator tab and you will see several other features and functionalities of Forminator, but what we want to achieve in this guide is to create a contact form.
Click on the Form link.
Click Create
As you can see, there are different types of forms you can create using Forminator.
We will be creating our contact us Form In WordPress here using the premade contact us form that Forminator has provided. You can also create yours from scratch using the Blank form.
Click contact us>>continue
Give your form a name, preferably Contact us. You can always edit this detail at a later time
Click Create
Now you can see the premade fields that Forminator plugin has generated
Go ahead and edit them to suit your specific needs.
For example, let’s delete the first name and leave it in Name. All you have to do here is to delete the “First” text.
To do so, go to the settings (gear) icon in front of the field and click. Then from the drop-down menu, click edit field
Go ahead and edit your text in the field.
Go ahead and apply the same to any other text that you want to edit in this form.

Before we continue, let’s quickly check up the settings tab
Click the settings link
If you leave this as optional, it means filling that particular field on the form will not be mandatory. If you choose the required option, then, the filled must be filled out before the form can be submitted successfully.
Required fields are indicated with the red asterisk sign while no sign will be seen on the optional fields
Styling and visibility options are not so important right now, so I will skip them for another tutorial article.
After successful editing on each form field, click the apply button.
How to delete form field in Forminator
Sometimes, you may have a form field that you don’t need in your form and so you want to delete such field. To do so;
Click the settings(gear) icon beside the field that you want to delete
On the drop-down menu, click delete.
You can also duplicate such field by clicking the duplicate button
How to add form field in Forminator
Just as you can delete a field in Forminator form, you can also add a new field. To do so;
Click the insert field box at the bottom of the form
Forminator gives you an option to create more than 40 different types of fields for your form as you can see below
Go ahead and choose your preferred option
Click Insert field
You can edit your new field just as we have done already above for the premade form fields
Always remember to click the Apply button after editing a form field
Preview contact us form in WordPress before publishing
To preview our newly created contact us form;
Scroll to the top of the form and click the preview button
If you are satisfied with your new contact us form in WordPress, click the cancel icon on the preview and go ahead and click the publish button.
Congrats, you have successfully published your new contact us form. The link is produced as a short code.
Embed the contact form to the desired page of our WordPress website
If you have already created a web page for this form, then go ahead and paste the generated shortcode on the desired section of the page.
To create a new page in WordPress’
Head back to WordPressdshboard >>Pages>>New page
Name your new page. Maybe Contact us
If you are using WordPress default editor, click the + icon
Search for HTML and choose it
Then paste the shortcode you copied in Forminator here
Click Publish to publish the page. View your page in a new tab to see how your form appears.
Test the Contact us page to be sure that the contact form in WordPress we just created is working perfectly
Open your browser in an incognito window and paste your newly published contact us page link into your browser
Fill out the form and submit
Go ahead and check your backend to see if the form has been successfully submitted with all the captured details
To do so, return to the WordPress dashboard
Locate the Forminator tab on the WordPress menu
Hover over the tab and click Submission
In the choose form drop-down arrow, select the form whose detail submission you want to check. If you have only one form created yet, then go ahead and select it
If your newly created Contact Us Form In WordPress is functional, you will see the detail that was earlier submitted when you filled the form in the incognito window.
